This book examines multiple aspects of public-key cryptography. It covers the theory of provably secure public-key cryptography and the implementation of exponentiation and multi-exponentiation. An introduction to provable security is provided.

It provides the underlying mathematics needed to build and study these cryptography schemes and examines attacks on said schemes via the mathematical problems they are based on – such as the discrete logarithm problem and the difficulty of factoring integers.
